Klaus Jörg Herrmann

Since childhold designed and builds Joerg Herrmann puppets and marionettes. At age 15 he received in an artistic competition in Dresden, the first price and the offer to participate in the DEFA Studio for Animated Films. In 1958 he began as an animator in the puppet film. After studying at the film school he directed together with Bruno. J. Böttge, an acknowledged master of the silhouette film, the film Dear Mohr. Until the untimely death of Bruno J. Böttge combines both a professional and personal friendship.

1982 Joerg Herrmann is leaving the animation film studio DEFA, and is based in Kreischa near Dresden, an animated workshop. Until 1990, created a total of 25 silhouette films for television and cinema. Above all, the series "shadow puppets" and the movie "The Devil's Bride."

1990 Joerg Herrmann buys a property with an unfinished building in Kreischa. Draus arises Kreischa media house, a modern-day continuous digital film studio for real film and animation.

It is the credo of the media house Kreischa, the German film tradition of the silhouette design with the technical and creative possibilities of the computer to connect to.

 

Friedrich Herrmann

Friedrich was a child very early Kahm in contact with the film, could not escape from the medium of film. He already won his first award with 9 years at a children's film festival and was able to separate from the creative work no more since then. Shortly after his apprenticeship as a toolmaker, he made himself in the media for print media and events self employed. Some time passed until in 2007 he went completely in the footsteps of his parents. He is now an integral part of the media house in Kreischa grown in the fields of classical animation, design and print media.
